Baby Grand Piano, Anton Julius Eder, Circa 1880, Budapest, Austria-Hungary
Regular price $2,850.00
Handsome Baby Grand Piano by Anton Julius Eder. Victorian incised ebonized wood. Adjustable candle stands to hold candlesticks on either side of pierced music stand. Black ebonized upholstered stool included. 85 keys.
Eder was working in Budapest beginning in 1846. He is listed in Gellerman's International Reed Organ Atlas (page 66) as late as 1883. The piano is likely around this date.
The piano has patina consistent with age and use. There are light scratches and dings throughout. There is no major damage. The piano is functioning although there are two keys that stick. This could be resolved when the piano is moved to its destination and tuned.
4'11" wide, 5'5" long, 37" high
